Zakharova reported a tough talk with the U.S., Canadian and British ambassadors

“Yesterday they were summoned to the Foreign Ministry and everything was explained to them, and so in a tough tone, without any, you know, desire to soften something, somehow put on the brakes,” RIA News quotes her.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry called the US, British and Canadian ambassadors in connection with “gross interference in Russia’s internal affairs” and activities not corresponding to diplomatic status.

British Ambassador in Moscow Deborah Bronnert was protested by the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with her appearance before the court following the conviction of Vladimir Kara-Murza*.

Also,The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly protested to the US Ambassador over statements in support of publicist Vladimir Kara-Murza.

The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that employees of the American Embassy in Moscow who violate the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and abuse their status will end their stay in the Russian capital early.
