This was reported by the national energy company Ukrenergo.

“Today, as a result of bad weather (stormy wind, snow and rain) and damage in the networks of distribution system operators there are significant power outages for consumers in eight regions in the west and south of Ukraine,” the statement said.

It is specified that we are talking about Volyn, Lviv, Zakarpattya, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Chernivtsi and Odessa regions.

Earlier, Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko said that the country’s energy system operates with reserve capacity.

In early March, it became known that Naftogaz of Ukraine received 120 generators as assistance from 11 countries.
