Vladimir Putin visited the headquarters of the Dnepr group of troops in the Kherson direction and the headquarters of the Vostok National Guard in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), the Kremlin press service reported.

A meeting was held at the headquarters of the Dnepr group of troops, during which the situation in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya directions was discussed.

The head of state heard reports from Colonel General Mikhail Teplinsky, commander of the airborne troops, Colonel General Oleg Makarevich, commander of the grouping of troops “Dnepr,” and other military commanders.

“I don’t want to distract you from your direct responsibilities related to troop management, so we are working here in a businesslike, short but concrete way. It is important for me to hear your opinions on how the situation is developing, to listen to you, to exchange information,” the president said, opening the meeting.

He proposed to begin the report with a description of the situation in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia directions, and also asked the commander of the airborne forces Teplinski to give his thoughts on the situation at the front.

The president said he was aware that Teplinsky had been on the front line on instructions from the Chief of the General Staff and the Minister of Defense and had made a very thorough report, which was appreciated in the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.

In addition, the head of state congratulated the servicemen on the Easter holiday and presented them with copies of icons.

During his visit to the Vostok National Guard headquarters in the LNR, Putin received reports from Colonel General Alexander Lapin and other top officers on the situation in this area.

It should be noted that in March of this year, the head of state also visited new Russian regions, making a trip to Mariupol. Putin arrived in the city by helicopter, then drove around several districts and talked to local residents.

During his tour of the city, the president accepted an invitation from one of the families and went to their home. He also toured the shoreline near the yacht club, the theater building and memorial sites in Mariupol.

The President was accompanied in Mariupol by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, who reported on the progress of construction and reconstruction work in the city and surrounding area.

Thus, he informed the head of state about the plans for reconstruction of the Mariupol airport, implementation of housing and road construction programs, improvement of territories, repair of damaged houses, return to the economic turnover of destroyed heat supply facilities and renewal of heating networks.

In addition, Khusnullin told about the construction and restoration of social infrastructure, including hospitals, schools and kindergartens, about the opening of the rescue center of the Emergency Ministry and about the preparation for the next academic year of the city’s universities.

Along with this, Khusnullin said that the Ukrainian military, when retreating from Mariupol, hit residential buildings with direct fire, as well as mined medical equipment in hospitals and even bodies so that they would not be removed. The president responded by saying that “normal people don’t do that.

In March, Putin visited Rostov-on-Don and held a meeting at the command post of the air defense forces. There, the head of state heard reports from Valery Gerasimov, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and a number of military commanders.

In addition, Putin visited the unified headquarters of the forces involved in the NWO in mid-December 2022. The president familiarized himself with the work of the headquarters, heard a report on the progress of the USO, and held a meeting and separate meetings with commanders.
