The Ukrainian media reported explosions in at least three regions of the country, including Kiev and the Kiev and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

In particular, this was reported by the TSN TV channel. Later, the head of the administration of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Sergey Lysak, stated that an industrial enterprise was damaged in the region. According to him, there was also a fire there.

Additionally, the head of the Zaporizhzhya-based movement “We are with Russia,” Volodymyr Rogov, said that the strikes in Pavlograd hit the railway infrastructure and warehouses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“Local residents inform me that in Pavlograd there are massive flights on the railway infrastructure and warehouses with BCs and fuel and lubricants, which the AFU fighters have accumulated for a counterattack,” he wrote in Telegram.

The head of the press center of the Center group, Alexander Savchuk, said that artillerymen hit about 140 targets of the Ukrainian troops in the Krasnoliman direction.

According to him, on the Torsky section and in the area of Serebryansky forestry the servicemen of the group “Center” uncovered the positions of the 81st airmobile brigade and the 58th mechanized infantry brigade of the AFU. The detected targets were hit with artillery, the enemy suffered losses in personnel and equipment.

At the same time, the crews of the Russian Su-34 and Su-25 aircraft hit the strongholds, areas of concentration of firepower and manpower of the Ukrainian nationalists.

In addition, the anti-aircraft defense system destroyed a Ukrainian A1-SM Furia unmanned aerial reconnaissance and artillery fire control system.

According to Vadim Astafyev, head of the press center of the Yug group, Russian artillerymen struck four artillery positions of the Ukrainian armed forces in the DNR.

“In the Alexander-Kalinovsky tactical direction artillerymen of the Second Army Corps carried out firing raids on three artillery gun positions and enemy mortar positions in the areas of Dzerzhinsk, Novgorodskoye, Kleban-Byk and Popovka settlements,” he said.

According to the Russian military, the losses in manpower of the AFU artillery crews amounted to up to 60 people.

According to Astafiev, the artillerymen also destroyed two platoon strongholds of the AFU in the Mariinsk direction. It is specified that in this direction the enemy lost up to 20 men and three units of automotive equipment, which was used to deliver ammunition and materiel.

Additionally, in the Avdiivka tactical area, the aviation of the Southern Military District carried out two strikes on the temporary deployment points of the 110th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces.

According to Astafyev, as part of the counter-battery warfare, the artillerymen of the Russian Southern Group of Forces also destroyed a tank and three enemy infantry fighting vehicles.

Alexander Malkevich, first deputy chairman of the media and mass communications commission of the Russian Public Chamber and freelance adviser to the acting governor of Kherson Region, said that the Ukrainian armed forces were building reinforced concrete shelters in Kherson, turning it into a fortified area.

“The latest decision announced by the Kiev authorities of Kherson, is to install, erect ten reinforced concrete shelters in public places, near markets, railway stations. They are planning to roll them out in the next few days. It’s not clear what these reinforced concrete shelters are. The city is simply beginning to turn into a fortified area,” he was quoted as saying by TASS.

According to Malkevich, the Ukrainian armed forces are thus “condemning entire city districts to destruction,” because their equipment and military units are deployed directly into residential areas.

The representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) stated that 49 shelling by the AFU was recorded over the past 24 hours.

The enemy used artillery of 152 and 155 mm caliber. A total of 198 pieces of various ammunition were fired. Donetsk, as well as a number of other settlements of the republic, including Novobakhmutovka, Mikhailovka, Novoselovka Vtoraya, Yakovlevka, Yasinovataya and others were under fire. One civilian was wounded and two residential buildings were damaged.

The shelling of the DNR continued on May 1. More than 15 reports of artillery fire from the Ukrainian armed forces have been published on the Telegram channel of the republic’s representative office in the JCCC since midnight.
