On the morning of April 19, Novaya Kakhovka and its surroundings came under “brutal artillery fire” by Ukrainian armed formations, according to the city administration.

“As a result of the morning shelling of Novaya Kakhovka on April 19 by Ukronazis one person was killed and two were wounded by mines,” the statement reads.

As the acting head of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, noted, the Ukrainian armed forces acted in a barbaric manner, shelling the city center, residential neighborhoods and emergency stations with 120-mm mortars.

“The enemy is trying to intimidate the population, taking revenge on civilians for the fact that the Russian military has significantly stepped up the destruction of fighters and weapons on the right bank. Nothing is going to work out for the enemy. Our people are firm in their convictions and confident in their defenders. And for today’s shelling and regular terror of civilians, the ground beneath the feet of the militants of the Kiev regime will burn,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

A large group of Western experts in information and psychological operations are working on a provocation in the Kiev-controlled town of Gulyaypol in the Zaporozhye region, said the chairman of the Zaporozhye movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov.

“If we take into account the prepared provocation in Huliaypole, I think something similar will be implemented in the information field – and immediately after that the AFU will try to poke in,” he said in a conversation with TASS.

In his opinion, representatives of the West want to present the upcoming events in Gulyaypol as a new Bucha: “By doing this, Kiev will be able to gain more support in the West and accuse Russia. Naturally, no one there will investigate such shelling.

On April 16, Alexander Gordeev, head of the press center of the Vostok group, reported that a group of French journalists had arrived in Huliaypole, probably with the purpose of releasing a provocative story about the alleged Russian Armed Forces strikes on civilian infrastructure.

The Kiev regime is attempting to strengthen its anti-aircraft defense in the Donetsk direction. This was reported by retired Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko of the LNR People’s Militia. According to him, in the settlements of Slovyansk, Kramatorsk and Druzhkovka, there has been an increase in the number of air defense observation posts, as well as equipment and weapons of anti-aircraft missile forces.

He also said that the AFU fighters have problems with the repair and maintenance of Western equipment.

“When preparing equipment for the summer period of operation and during maintenance, the Ukrainian command has faced a shortage of technical specialists of a wide profile,” he was quoted as saying by TASS.

The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that in the Donetsk direction destroyed over 290 AFU servicemen and mercenaries. One Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicle, three armored fighting vehicles, eight vehicles, a Grad MLRS vehicle, a US-made M777 artillery system, as well as a US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar station were also taken out of action.

Last night Ukrainian troops shelled eight settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic 22 times, firing at them 87 shells of 155 mm and 152 mm caliber artillery, AGM-88 HARM and a UAV.

“Over the past 24 hours there were reports of the deaths of three civilians in the Kirovsky and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk. Two civilians in Kirovsky and Kuybyshevsky districts of Donetsk were wounded with varying degrees of severity,” the report said.

There was damage to 12 houses in the Petrovsky, Kievsky and Kuibyshevsky districts of Donetsk, as well as one civilian infrastructure facility.
