As RBC writes with reference to the bank’s statement, the increase is due to equating the fees for transactions on the SberPay QR service to the merchant acquiring fees. It is specified that from April 1 & nbsp;tariffs both for acquiring and for QR-codes will be from 1,25 to 2,5% depending on the category of stores and business turnover.

At the same time the representative of the financial institution told the portal that the funds received from the commission will be used for additional benefits when paying by SberPay QR for clients -individuals.

Earlier cybersecurity expert Sergey Belov in an interview with “Evening Moscow” warned about the increasing number of fraud cases when paying for goods with QR-codes.
