“Concern Rosenergoatom (the electric power division of Rosatom State Corporation) has received a license from the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision to locate the Yakutsk small capacity nuclear power plant in the Ust-Yansk Ulus of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia),” reports from the state corporation’s RIA News.

It is noted that the commissioning of the plant with the reactor unit RITM-200N is planned for 2028.

Earlier it was reported that some Eastern European nuclear power plants are planning to replace Russian uranium to reduce dependence on nuclear fuel from Russia.
