The publication details that the total net profit of the 27 leading passenger airlines in the country was 87.8 billion rubles – 2.8 times more than in 2021.

S7 Airlines and Ural Airlines accounted for more than half (47.8 billion rubles): 34.4 billion rubles and 13.5 billion rubles, respectively.

In early April, the Air Transport Operators Association, which unites Russia’s largest airlines, asked the Russian Transportation Ministry to provide air carriers with about 100 billion rubles from April through October of 2023 for reimbursements for domestic flights.
