Nabiullina: introduction of digital ruble will not lead to outflow of funds from bank accounts

“We do not expect that the introduction of digital ruble will be accompanied by any significant outflow of funds from the banks,” TASS quoted her as saying.

Nabiullina explained that the digital ruble is primarily a means of payment, not a means of savings.

Earlier it became known that the Central Bank will put the digital ruble into circulation before the end of the year.

Duma deputy Anatoly Aksakov in a conversation with FBA “Economy Today” said that the digital ruble meets the needs of the time and there is technology and demand for the use of this form of currency.
