Moldova extends state of emergency for 60 days due to energy crisis

This was reported by TASS, referring to the broadcast from Parliament, which led the press service of the legislature.

“The state of emergency on the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova… extend for a 60-day period from April 5, 2023,” the decree reads.

Earlier, Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that the Moldovan government approved the idea extend the state of emergency due to the crisis in the energy sector for 60 days..

On March 21 Moldovagaz said that Chisinau returned to buying gas from Gazprom after a break of three months.

In December 2022, the Moldovan minister said that he had achieved independence from Russian gas.
