“We expect that further consideration of the draft in the State Duma will begin in the near future – it is important to get a positive response from the government. It is not about mining as such, but about the nuances of regulation,” he said in a conversation with Parliamentpaper.

According to him, there is no disagreement in establishing general rules for miners, but there are questions with the possibility of selling the cryptocurrency to be mined, and on approaches to regulating the circulation of digital currencies in Russia in general.

“That is, there is movement on this issue, the work is quite active, but, indeed, the introduction of any new regulation has many nuances,” Lugovoi added.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Anatoly Aksakov in a conversation with FBA “Economy Today” said that the digital ruble meets the needs of the time and there is technology and demand for the use of this form of currency.
