“This will be very difficult to do, given the politically motivated decisions to refuse imports of Russian pipeline gas,” TASS quoted the report as saying.

Gazprom added that the competition for liquefied natural gas will have a great influence on the volume of blue fuel on the gas market in Europe.

The report noted that in such circumstances, replenishment of gas in UGSF to the level of 2022 may become a non-trivial task for European companies.

In February, Yuri Philipson, director of the Fourth European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that the demand for Russian energy carriers in Europe remains high.

Prior to that, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia stated that boycott of Russian energy carriers under the pressure of the US and contrary to its own economic interests, led to the undermining of the EU energy security.
