“We express our strong support for its extension, full implementation and expansion,” the G7 said in a statement cited by RIA News.

Representatives of the G7 accused Russia of “using food as a measure of destabilization and a tool for geopolitical coercion.

“We intend to continue developing our restrictive measures against Russia to protect populations in need from unintended consequences, ensuring that food and fertilizers are not affected,” the statement said.

Earlier it became known that Polish authorities suggest that the European Union bid imports from Ukraine not only of grain, but also other food products.

Romanian Agriculture Minister Petre Daya said that the European Commission will consider suspending grain imports from Ukraine until June 5 if Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovakia repeal unilateral import bans.
