FSB: case solved on 1997 assassination of St. Petersburg Vice-Governor Manevich

The department stated that both defendants in the Manevich murder case confessed to having been “ordered” by the ringleader of the “Tambov” criminal group in St. Petersburg, Vladimir Barsukov.

It was established that one of the OCG members monitored Manevich’s place of residence and passed information about his movements to his accomplice.

“Both defendants confessed to committing the crime,” the FSB said in a report.

Investigative actions are continuing.
