The user’s digital wallet will be physically located in the Central Bank, and its owner will be able to make money transfers from it to his bank account and back, the expert explained.

“The moment you send rubles from your bank account to an electronic wallet, they become digital in the full sense of the word. The central bank thereby gives you the opportunity to transfer a larger amount than 100,000 rubles per month for free,” Raksha specified.

This step is expected to make transactions more efficient and secure, the economist concluded.

State Duma deputy Anatoly Aksakov in a conversation with FBA “Economy Today” said that the digital ruble meets the needs of the times and there is technology and demand for the use of this form of currency.
