Court in Belarus sentences Protasevich to eight years in prison

According to the indictment, the defendants, including Stepan Putilo and Yan Rudik, with the purpose of seizing state power in Belarus in an unconstitutional way, implementing the roles and objectives of the controlled sustainable group, published materials with destructive purposes and called for acts of terrorism in the networks of channels.

Earlier, it was reported that the state prosecution in Belarus asked for a sentence of 20 years in prison for the founder of the Telegram channel NEXTA Stepan Putilo.
