China expresses hope for international investigation into sabotage of Nord Streams

“China hopes that this international investigation will take place and the results will be presented as soon as possible,” RIA Novosti quotes a diplomat at a UN Security Council meeting.

He noted that investigative actions must be carried out as quickly as possible, otherwise the collection of evidence will become increasingly difficult.

On March 27 the UNSC did not adopt a resolution proposed by Russia to investigate the explosions at Nord Streams.

Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Nebenzya warned that Russia would draw appropriate conclusions from the vote.

Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier declares that he agrees with the findings that U.S. intelligence agencies are behind the attacks.
