According to Shein, there are several important questions to the bill. The first has to do with the need to identify such people. As the expert noted, it is not clear how this will happen.

“Searches of everyone, or what? The second point: when a person brings a large amount of cash to a financial company, they already ask for certificates of the origin of funds,” – said the interlocutor .

In addition, the analyst suggested that a person may, for example, have a large sum of money in rubles, but draw it as money received in the bank on credit.

“I do not understand the idea of what they want to achieve in the end,” he concluded.

Earlier it became known that the deputy of the State Duma Anatoly Wasserman drafted a bill, according to which the Russians who keep cash in rubles and foreign currency in the amount over 1 million rubles, must report it to the tax authorities and explain the origin of funds.

According to the bill, for keeping this amount without notifying the tax authorities there will be confiscation of funds.

In addition, according to the document, a citizen will be fined twice the amount of funds stored in this way.
