A case has been opened over the explosion of a power line in the Leningrad Region

“On the fact of undermining the power line support on the territory of Susaninskoye settlement of Gatchina district, the Investigative Service of the Federal Security Service of Russia in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region initiated a criminal case under Art. 281 (sabotage), 222.1 (illegal turnover of explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of Russia,” he wrote in Telegram..

He specified that the FSB investigators together with the experts are conducting investigative actions at the site of the accident. The search for the criminals is underway.

Earlier the governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko stated about the explosion of the power line support and about detection of the explosive device.

Later,he stated that he had eliminated the threat of the second power line tower.
